Job Description

DSI is a sales enablement company with an immediate career opportunity for a motivated individual to fill one of our key roles as an Area Sales Manager for our Door to Door (D2D) sales channel.

As the D2D Area Sales Manager, you will be responsible for providing product and sales coaching, decisive leadership, and direction for dealers and clients. You will develop and implement short and long-term strategies to drive production results. Additionally, you will provide hands-on training and evaluation to ensure the achievement of corporate objectives and initiatives.

We are looking for a person who will use their drive and expertise to develop and deliver solutions that satisfy and delight our clients. You will maintain strong business relationships and make it easy for customers to do business with DSI by listening, anticipating, and responding to their needs.

Additionally, you will be responsible for prospecting, recruiting, and onboarding new dealers to sell core DSI products. You will work with marketing and vendors to launch recruiting campaigns, online marketing promotions, attend trade shows, and leverage social media to ensure the success of new dealers.

Travel is required 70% of the time

Responsibilities

  • Meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets and accurately project future sales forecast
  • Conduct business meetings with dealers to discuss their evolving needs, assess the quality of the company’s relationship with the dealer, and drive additional production
  • Recommend service, product, and process enhancements to improve the sales potential for both dealers and the company
  • Keep current with economic indicators, changing trends, supply and demand, and competitors to maintain sales volume and product mix
  • Conduct weekly meetings with sales directors to develop and update strategic business plans for their dealers
  • Ensure the delivery of targets through individual recognition, performance review, people management, and rewards
  • Develop and maintain relationships between different channels and cross-functionally
  • Observe and interact with customers and D2D representatives in the field
  • Partner with the sales team to qualify, recruit, and launch new dealers with D2D, event, or strategic marketing tactics that can produce scalable volume
  • Assist the sales team with launching new dealers and helping them to become successful within the first 90 days
  • Recommend service, product, and process enhancements to improve the sales potential for both dealers and the company

Requirements

  • Three or more years of professional-level sales experience; at least two of which are in a sales management role, is preferred
  • Crisis management, resourceful, and solution-oriented abilities
  • Excellent initiative and interpersonal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to influence key decision-makers, and clients at all levels
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or business is preferred
  • Ability to stand for long periods, walk long distances, and adjust to different weather conditions
  • Availability to travel 70% of the time
